Hyrox Manchester overview

My first Hyrox and first ever fitness racing event!

Overall I really enjoyed the day and was pretty happy with our finishing time especially for our first event as a pairs.

From training sessions I knew burpees would be the most difficult but I didn’t anticipate how much further the distance looked compared to how it feels in the gym. There were a definitely some small mistakes made and lessons to learn in preparation for next time.

Next up this year is the Deadly Dozen in June which I will be working hard on my running for! And at the end of the year I have booked onto Hyrox pro women’s solo in Birmingham.

I am now training clients to compete in both Hyrox and the Deadly Dozen at 5s fitness which is Macclesfield’s first Hyrox affiliated gym!
