Staying Fit and Active in Summer

With just under a month until summer now if the perfect time to get into a routine and stay motivated! Here’s a few tips to get you started:

Set clear and achievable goals:

  • Establish why you want to get fit and what you plan to achieve

  • Set small goals that reach towards a bigger goal to help track progress and keep you focused

Create a plan:

  • Schedule your workouts for the week to keep consistency around work and life plans

  • Change up your training to keep things interesting

  • Make sure to have a mix or strength and cardio workouts

Find things you enjoy:

  • Since the weather is warmer and the days are longer why not embrace more outdoor activities like walking and cycling

  • Try out a sports club or new exercise classes to make it more social

Focus on Nutrition:

  • Ensure you are eating a well balanced diet to fuel yourself for the extra exercise

  • Drink plenty of water

Rest and Recover:

  • Aim for around 7-9 hours sleep per night

  • Allow your body to recover by including rest days to prevent injuries

Stay Positive and Have Fun:

  • Enjoy your fitness journey and celebrate progress.
